Visit to the University of South Africa and the University of Johannesburg

From March 15 to March 19, 2025, we visited our research partners at the University of South Africa and the University of Johannesburg.

Visit to the University of South Africa

We toured research facilities and learned about research areas that are particularly active in Africa, including combinations of agriculture, mechanical systems, and IoT technologies.

We also gained insight into practical issues such as large seasonal temperature variations in Africa and heat generated by IoT devices themselves.

We toured research facilities with guidance from faculty members and exchanged ideas about our respective research.

We learned about energy research in Africa, particularly research related to wind and solar power generation.
